It is hard to believe that this is the last Sunday of August already. Where did summer go? This week our parish begins to welcome our teachers, faculty and staff back to the school as they begin their final preparations for the start of school on September 8. Along with the start of school, our parish faith formation program is continuing to offer programming that began in the summer months.

As we begin to ramp up again, I wanted to share with you a number of staff changes that have happened over the past few months. Please welcome to St. Mary’s;

Christina Egleston – Director of Catholic Education, Christina comes to us with lots of experience having previously worked as our Youth and Young Adult Minister for St. Mary’s.

Tristan D’Angelo – Principal, Tris joins us from Notre Dame Academy in South Buffalo. Tris brings with her many years of teaching experience along with leadership experience as she was Principal at Notre Dame for a number of years.

Stephanie States –  Advancement and Communications  Director, Stephanie has been with St. Mary’s as the school Administrative Assistant and will be taking on this new role to help with the communications and advancement of our school and parish mission.

Jill Ashworth – St. Mary School Administrative Assistant, Jill is joining our St. Mary School team as the new Administrative Assistant and will help bring organization and a great smile to all who enter St. Mary School.

Gretchen Olearczak – Sacramental Coordinator, Gretchen brings her passion and love of the sacraments to St. Mary’s as she coordinates reception of the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and Eucharist.

In a special way I also want to take this opportunity to acknowledge Debra Lesinski as our outgoing Communications Coordinator. Debbie has given so much to St. Mary’s through her ministry and has been a wonderful asset and professional for the parish over the past few years. Thank you, Debbie!

I hope that as a parish we pray for our staff and all those who minister here at St. Mary’s.

Keep Smiling, 🙂

Fr. Bryan
