🥚🎨 SMS Girl Scouts got in on the Easter fun before break too! The girls read "Rechenka's Eggs", by Patricia Polacco & explored traditional Ukrainian Easter egg designs to earn their Daisy Art & Design badge. They created edible art using cookies, frosting, sprinkles & M&M's, looked at real & wooden eggs decorated in the Ukrainian style, then painted their own eggs on paper using crayons as the wax resist for their watercolors. Happy Easter to all! SMS offers a wider variety of extracurricular activities for students as young as Kindergarten! From scouting to sports, drama club, art club, instrumental music & more, students are given the opportunity to express themselves & learn new skills beyond the classroom. Good Friday is not merely a commemoration of a historical event; rather, Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross, along with his glorious resurrection, comprise the heart of the Christian faith.
