Coach Costello's grades 5/6 JV Co-ed Soccer Team played St. Amelia’s on Sun., & lost a hard-fought battle, 7-6. Goals were scored by David M. (2), Joe M. (3), & Josh Z. (1). Goal-tending duties were shared by Isaac C. & David M., while Francesca M. did a great job anchoring the defense. Great effort Bees!

Our younger students enjoyed learning about Mary throughout the Month of May. Gr. 2 children each designed Marian monograms using symbols of Mary. Gr. 1 students studied the statues and stained glass images of Mary in our beautiful church!

👕 It’s time to think about uniforms for next year!

Uniforms getting small? Donate them to our Gently Used Sale. We will be accepting gently used uniform items again at the school office beginning Mon., June 8. Please be sure that any items you are donating are washed and free of stains or rips/holes. The Gently Used Sale will open in late July/ early August and will be in the B1 door foyer near the school office.

Please see the list of items below that we WILL and WILL NOT ACCEPT, feel free to shop and buy the next size up for your student(s) when the sale opens! Due to our lack of storage space we are cutting down the list of items we will accept to only include uniform items that are not readily available at local retailers.

🐾 We're not horsing around... our 1st graders do research! Mrs. Picone's class completed their animal unit in science by doing research poster projects on an animal of their choice. The poster had to include facts about the animal, habitat information, their food classification (carnivore, herbivore, omnivore), animal classification (mammal, reptile, bird, etc.), & describe their appearance.

Once all the poster were presented, students wrote an “essay” about the animal they chose for their poster project. We're ape-solutely impressed!

CALL TO ACTION - Under NYS law, children with disabilities are entitled to the same services provided by their local school district regardless of whether they attend a public school or a religious & independent school. Moreover, all parents are entitled to the same “due process” rights when challenging the school district provision of services. The NYS Board of Regents, however, continues to consider a regulation that would eliminate these due process rights of parents who enroll their children in Catholic and other independent or religious schools. Legislation has been introduced to prevent the Regents from adopting their proposal, but we need your help in getting the legislation enacted. Prayer for Memorial Day from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops:
God of power and mercy, you destroy war and put down earthly pride. Banish violence from our midst and wipe away our tears, that we may all deserve to be called your sons and daughters.
