Happy Pi Day from Mrs. Whipple's middle school math classes! Students brought in and shared different kinds of pies to celebrate today, on 3/14. Pi or Ď, is the ratio of a circleâs circumference to its diameter. Since Pi is actually a decimal with no end, and no repeating pattern, it is often approximated with the decimal 3.14. #PiDay #MathIsFun

Mrs. Wojtaszek's 2nd graders have been completing some St. Patrick's Day themed writing work, enjoy a few of their responses here. #StPatricksDay #lucky #leprechauns

Our 8th grade advanced ELA students participated in a "Fishbowl" discussion about Lois Lowry's book The Giver. Conversation was student directed allowing them to cover questions and concepts that they found meaningful.

Our Montessori students have been learning some parables that teach about Jesus, the Good Shepherd. âIf Jesus is the shepherd, who are the sheep?â âWe are!â

Bring a few dollars for games, ice cream treats, and a chance to throw a pie, or win a cake! All proceeds benefit Catholic Charities.

Since we had such a fun time at the HSA roller skating party this past weekend, we thought we'd feature this clipping from a 1988 "St. Mary's Press" newsletter we found in the archives for our #ThrowbackThursday. Enjoy, and feel free to tag any alumni mentioned! #StMarys175
