Act Now Buttoin to Support Catholic School Tax Credits

The NYS Catholic Conference has issued a call to action today, 1/27/26, for advocacy on the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit. This Action Alert can be found using the link below. It asks you to send a prewritten email to Gov. Hochul, urging her to opt in to the new Federal Scholarship Tax Credit that will let taxpayers redirect up to $1,700 of their federal income taxes to nonprofit scholarship organizations that provide tuition assistance for students in Catholic schools. New York State families will miss out unless the governor opts in. Governor Hochul’s participation would bring new scholarship dollars to Catholic schools, easing financial pressure on families and expanding access to faith-based education. Once your home address is entered, the process takes less than a minute to complete (be sure to answer the follow up question: “Education”).
