Today a new Pope was elected by the Conclave of Cardinals, Pope Leo XIV. Born Robert Francis Prevost in Chicago, IL, he is the first American Pope of the universal Catholic Church. Bishop Michael Fisher shared this statement with our Buffalo Diocese and WNY community:
