Thank You for Your Support!
To All My Fellow Parishioners,
I want to thank everyone for your support over the last six months. You helped make my short tenure as the Temporary Parish Administrator an easier one than I had anticipated because of your prayers and words of encouragement. But as St. John the Baptist said when Jesus came on the scene, it is time for me to decrease so he can increase. So now is my time to decrease with the arrival of Fr. Bryan and Fr. Luke so they can increase and continue to help all of us get to heaven, just as Fr. Bryan has preached the last couple of weeks, through their new ministry here at St. Mary’s. The Lord is good in sending these two holy men to us.
I want you to know that I will not be leaving St. Mary’s. Fr. Bryan has assured me that there will be plenty of work for me to do here at the parish as a Deacon. But I do want to let you know that if things went as planned, I had surgery on Wednesday. The procedure will put me on injured reserve for six to eight weeks. So you will not be seeing me on the altar at Mass for the next couple of months. All I ask is for your continued prayers for a speedy recovery.
As I mentioned a few months back, we are not closing the book here at St Mary’s, but are starting a new chapter to add to the long history that has made this parish such a welcoming and vibrant Catholic community. Thanks again for all of your prayers and kind words. Know that you are in my prayers every day.
Your Brother in Christ,
Deacon Rick Stachura
