Prayer Online Lesson
The Lord’s prayer is the most perfect of prayers… In it we ask, not only for all the things we can rightly desire, but also in the sequence that they should be desired.
Often Jesus makes things quite simple for us, as He did with this prayer that He taught us, which we call the Lord’s prayer or the Our Father. The disciples asked Jesus how to pray and He gave them the words to use. Through this prayer we learn what God wants us to focus on in our prayer lives. Matthew 6, Luke 11.
This lesson will bring you to a deeper understanding of the Lord’s Prayer and how to apply the principles of the prayer to your life.
Lord, Teach us how to pray and understand the Our Father Prayer and help us to come to know you better through our conversations with you. Amen

THE GREAT AMEN
is recited after the Doxology during the Eucharistic prayer, or more simply, after the priest says
“Through him, with him, in him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit all glory and honor is yours almighty Father, forever and ever”. AMEN
By praying the Lord’s Prayer we recognize that God is holy, that we can make earth more like heaven and tell God we trust that He will provide us with the things we need.
We also promise that we will forgive people in our lives that have wronged us and we know that God will forgive us and protect us from all evil and temptation.
