“We love our parish family, it’s that simple.”

Welcome! St. Mary’s is always being referred to as a warm, welcoming Catholic parish and family faith community. We have earned that reputation, as a result of the rich history of our 170+ year old parish, our spiritual leadership, our school and family faith programs, and our dedication to following Christ in our daily lives by loving our neighbor.

Recently, through a special project, St. Mary’s asked its parishioners of all ages what it is that makes our parish so special. Here are a few of their responses:

“It’s fun!”

“The family atmosphere!”

“LOVE, love, love, love, love, love!”

“I love the music!”

“Parishioners = Family.”

“Masses here are vibrant & welcoming!”

“I would never think of going to another parish, people are caring and friendly!”

“I love the feeling I have here, almost like a second home!”

“The holy families.”

“Love the liturgies and music!”

“Mass at St. Mary’s makes me feel better about life!”

“Doughnut social!”

“Fellowship here that we were missing at our old parish.”

“It makes me feel peaceful.”

“Inclusion of those who are different, and those who only participate occasionally.”

RCIA  Joining the Catholic Church

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and Children (RCIA) is a process in which people explore their own faith in relation to the Catholic Christian community.  The process respects each person’s journey of faith and tries to address each person’s needs. Candidates are brought into full communion with the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil Mass through the Sacraments of Baptism and/or Confirmation.

Classes begin in September and run until May. We meet each Sunday in the Parish Center, Room 105 following 9 a.m. Mass
