It's Giving Tuesday!
This year St. Mary’s is participating in the Giving Tuesday charitable fundraising project!
It’s been a tough year financially for our 171 year old parish due to the pandemic and we are hoping that by joining this special day of charitable giving, we can give everyone an opportunity to give to our beloved parish in our time of need!
All Giving Tuesday donations received will be used to help cover the costs of:
1. Purchase of liturgical items – Our parish is in desperate need of replacing many supplies used for our liturgies including new altar cloths, a new cope set, candle stands, etc.
2. Winter season costs – Due to the pandemic revenue decline in our parish, this Winter season brings additional financial challenges to cover larger expense items such as snowplowing, electric and heating costs.
3. COVID related costs – Keeping our parish open and everyone safe on the St. Mary’s campus during the pandemic means the purchase of many necessary supplies, PPE, and additional cleaning services.
4.”Preparing for Jesus” – A St. Mary’s Advent Wish- St. Mary’s Bells (chapel) – St. Mary’s has two beautiful bells in her tower in the old church. They should be ringing for all of us to hear when we are worshipping God, and at hours of the day in which we need the reminder to pray. A perfect faith community project for Advent! Let’s ring them bells!
