Award winner, Dick Marchessault, with Bishop Fisher

St. Mary's Church parishioner, Dick Marchessault, received the Lay Award of St. Joseph the Worker from Bishop Michael Fisher during Mass  at St. Joseph Cathedral on Saturday. This award celebrates Dick's commitment to spreading the Gospel through his activities at St. Mary's Parish.  We are blessed by his service to our faith community and are grateful to him.

Dick is a disciple of Christ who truly makes an impact by leading many catechetical groups in Lectio Divina, Bible Study, and understanding our Catholic faith. He spends many hours in preparation and presentation but most importantly he selflessly shares his love of the Lord and the hope that the Good News of Jesus Christ gives us.

Dick is active in many ministries at St. Mary's Parish including being an altar server and lector.  He also volunteers for many of the faith community's events and fundraisers.  Dick and his wife, Carrie, live the Gospel in community with others at Mass, liturgical events, and through service to St. Mary's Parish.
