An Invitation and Thank you!

October 30, 2020

Dear St. Mary’s,

In the Gospel of Luke, the Blessed Mother is approached by the angel Gabriel and is told that the Lord is with her. Later, Gabriel reassures Mary by saying to her ‘Do not be afraid…’ (Lk. 1:30)

Do not be afraid!  These are great words for all of us as we begin our journey together at St. Mary’s. Just as the Lord was with Mary at the Annunciation, the Lord is with us as we move our parish forward in faith together.

For those who I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet, my name is Fr. Bryan Zielenieski and I am the new Administrator of St. Mary’s Parish. Joining me is Fr. Luke Uebler as St. Mary’s Parochial Vicar and together we have been assigned to St. Mary’s!  Fr. Luke and I are excited to be joining the St. Mary’s family and look forward to ministering together. As we begin ministry here at St. Mary’s, it is important that you know our dedication to this parish community and that we are committed to helping all encounter Jesus’ love and mercy.

Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a “Meet Your Priests’ Night” on Monday, November 9th, beginning at 6:30 in the church. This will be a great opportunity for us to learn about one another and allow us to answer any questions that you may have.

I also want at this time to formally thank Fr. Jack Mattimore for his dedicated priestly ministry to St. Mary’s and for his presence to the parish during the last six months. Fr. Jack helped to bring calm when the parish was without a priest, and his ministry gave hope. I am happy to announce that Fr. Jack will continue to assist at St. Mary’s beginning in Advent and we appreciate his love and dedication to St. Mary’s. Thank you, Fr. Jack!

I would also like to formally thank Deacon Rick Stachura for his time as Temporary Administrator of St. Mary’s Parish. His dedication to St. Mary’s and his service are much appreciated. Deacon Rick helped the parish continue during challenging times, thank you. Special thanks too to Fr. Paul Nogaro who celebrated daily Mass with you. His priestly ministry brought you Jesus through it all. Thank you.

Lastly, I want to extend an invite to have you join us at St. Mary’s. As your new Administrator, I can assure you that all are welcome here, and that we are incomplete without you.

Do not be afraid, the Lord is with us!

Keep Smiling 😊

Fr. Bryan Zielenieski
