Our faith tells us to always trust in Jesus, especially as we consider the future.
After serving as pastor of St. Mary’s for the past 23 years, I will retire effective August 31.
I place my trust in Jesus that he will guide my journey and the future of St. Mary’s. It has been a blessing to serve the St. Mary’s parish community and witness the inspiring faith journeys of thousands of parishioners through the years.
We have accomplished many wonderful things together as a parish community – building the new church, building the Parish Center, and supporting one another during joyful events and tragedy. I have always been humbled by the generosity, hard work and compassion of our parish family.
I anticipate that Bishop Richard Malone will appoint my replacement sometime in August, and the new pastor will be in place in September at the start of a new fiscal and school year. Fr. Andrew will be extremely helpful during the transition.
I am grateful for your support, friendship, and dedication to our Catholic faith. I will continue to pray for you. I ask for your prayers for the new pastor and for me as I begin this next chapter.
