Suicide, Abuse and Suffering: Death in the Classroom - "Who Will Be the Next One!!!"
Posted on Mar 30 2010 by Father Bob
Over the past couple of weeks, I have found myself struggling to wrap my arms around the tragic reality of the sufferings our teens are experiencing in their daily lives. Whether they are in school, at home, or just hanging out with friends. If it hasn’t happened to you yet, it soon will.

All of us will be confronted at some point in our lives with a teenager who has lost all hope of happiness in their life. We may think we know what is going on in their lives, but we need to ask. We may think that our teens know that we love them, but we need to show it. We may be concerned about how they are doing, but we cannot be afraid to ask them any longer. I know it is true that what they tell us may be difficult to hear, or accept, but the truth is we need to reach out to our young teens and be there in such moments of pain, crisis and suffering. Where do we begin? How do we reach out more effectively? What should we or should we not do? These are profound questions that need to be addressed. That is why I have decided to move on this situation.

Please join me and others on April 14th from 7-9 p.m. in the school gym for a community based evening of discussion, speakers, and questions on the topic of, “Dealing with Crisis: Suicide, Abuse and Suffering Death in the Classroom.” Our teens need our help and our love. Help me to reach out to them and their families to bring the healing Power of Jesus Christ into the lives of those little ones, whom Jesus called the greatest in the Kingdom.

Peace, and have a Holy and Blessed Easter!!!!!!
